Gameplay Programmer:
Overall responsibility:
Lionhead are looking for an equally innovative and talented programmer who can take
on the technical design and implementation of various game systems that satisfy
the technical constraints and design requirements.
This company is renowned for ground breaking titles that are always driving the
quality bar higher in both technology and game-play. With the backing of a major
publisher they are going from strength to strength and have an opportunity that
will provide the successful candidate with a superb career path.
You will be an expert in gameplay systems and logic programming for games, and be
able to provide strong technical direction on how to implement some of the ambitious
designs found within this title. You will also be a keen team player and be able
to provide solutions to project obstacles in terms of gameplay.
Requirements:
- Have past games industry experience, from working successfully on at least one quality
title.
- Is expected to focus attention on and hone skill set for a specific programming
area.
- Is expected to be able to join a team and be productive within one to two months,
with only limited supervision.
- Should demonstrate technical skills through portfolio, plus the ability to take
direction and function as part of a team. Worked on shipped product on either console
or PC.
- Demonstrated ability to integrate the creative and technical design processes while
ensuring that high production values are never compromised.
- Adopt existing development processes and look for improvements.
- Solid understanding of C++ in a games development environment.
- Experience with current Console or PC development processes.
- Your responsibilities will include, but is not limited to Work with design/art/animation
and technical dept. to implement game systems that integrate well across the disciplines.
- Show a strong passion for making the highest quality state of the art games.
- Contribute innovative and original ideas towards all aspects of game production
and development. Work with department leads for continual process improvement.

Senior Gameplay/AI programmer
Lionhead are looking for an equally innovative and talented programmer who can take
responsibility for three primary areas of development for this ground breaking project:
- AI
- Character control
- Core Gameplay Systems
This company is renowned for ground breaking titles that are always driving the
quality bar higher in both technology and game-play. With the backing of a major
publisher they are going from strength to strength and have an opportunity that
will provide the successful candidate with a superb career path.
The successful candidate will have a strong grasp on various aspects of AI. You
will also understand the principles of control and associated input systems that
are tailored to AAA console products. You will be flexible, and be able to turn
your hand to various areas on the game while working in a small team of engineers
Last but not least, an insatiable passion and pride for the work you do!
Preferres Experience:
- Strong experience developing in-game AI.
- Excellent C/C++ skills
- Experience in a gameplay or AI role on at least one major product.
- Some experience in a lead capacity is highly advantageous.
- Next generation experience is highly advantageous but not essential.

Standard Tools Coder
Lionhead industry are looking for an equally innovative and talented programmer
to work within an in-house tools development framework creating bespoke tools for
creation of game and levels assets.
This company is renowned for ground breaking titles that are always driving the
quality bar higher in both technology and gameplay. With the backing of a major
publisher they are going from strength to strength and have an opportunity that
will provide the successful candidate with a superb career path.
You will be responsible for working within the code team to produce tools and interfaces
that empowers the artists and designers to produce the very best content they can
for this ambitious title. Other areas of responsibility include working with the
design team on scripting tools and features, and any necessary technical documentation
that the team requires.
Requirements:
- Strong C/C++ skills with extensive programming experience.
- C# skills preferable;
- Windows Win32 API development experience is essential.
- The ability to design high quality usable user interfaces.
- Will have a good working knowledge of the DirectX API.
- Game industry experience is an advantage but not required
- Your responsibilities will include, but is not limited to
- Working together with designers and scripters to define tools requirements and features
- Working with technology programmers to develop in-house tools
- Testing, debugging and revision of existing tools
- Authoring of technical and user documentation
- Contribute innovative and original ideas towards all aspects of game production
and development Application profiling and performance tuning
