Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • M.Sc./Ph.D. in a quantitative discipline (Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Economics) or relevant work experience in a similar data science role.
  • Demonstrable experience performing quantitative analysis, preferably for games, or an internet or technology company.
  • Proven skills in providing concise and actionable output from complex data analysis
  • Experience in selecting and applying machine learning algorithms to solve business problems.
  • Proficient in (statistical) programming languages (R, Python, etc.)
  • Strong experience working with TB-scale technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Pig, NoSQL, AWS, etc.)
  • Strong data science background with proven skills at all stages of a scalable data pipeline.
  • Demonstrable analytic problem solving and strategic thinking that drives business and product insight.
  • Experience successfully communicating up to senior executives and out to broader organizations.
  • Expert SQL and Excel skills.

1PP Co-Development Producer - Minecraft team

The Microsoft Studios Minecraft team is seeking an experienced publishing producer to join their UK team. The successful candidate will have notable game industry production experience and must demonstrate an enthusiasm for a broad spectrum of gaming especially in the digital space.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Shipped at least 1 AAA console title as lead Producer from start to finish
  • Experience driving creative & business direction on shipped AAA console title
  • Minimum 5 years industry experience
  • Broad knowledge of games and industry and of game genres
  • Consider themselves to be producer on the publishing side rather than development side.
  • Multiple shipped console titles
  • Technical background (i.e. C.S. degree)
  • Development experience in casual and/or independent games
  • Experience in both development and publishing environments
  • Passion for a broad base of gaming

Video Specialist

6 month contract

As video specialist, you’ll be responsible for managing the video pipeline for Fable Legends and other Lionhead projects. From pre-production, including initial concept, storyboarding and sign off, through to the production process itself, you’ll be responsible for scheduling and overseeing the creation of all Lionhead videos.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrable experience of producing high quality videos with tight deadlines
  • Expert knowledge and experience of using video creation software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects or similar)
  • Great experience of managing video production at a high level – bringing various teams together to ensure a collaborative approach to video creation
  • Good knowledge of HD digital video equipment including cameras, audio and capture
